Zoe Bonwick is a Melbourne-based painter and conceptual artist whose work explores minimal form, spatial restraint, and the perceptual power of colour. Working between abstraction and atmosphere, she creates quiet, deliberate compositions that balance structure and sensitivity, drawing the viewer in to pause, look closely, and explore.
Drawing on a background in visual communication, she approaches painting as an act of distillation, stripping back elements until colour, composition, and negative space carry subtle tension. Her works function as immersive environments rather than depictions, where narrative and meaning emerge through the viewer’s own perception, memory, and engagement.
